My YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Collection

Disclaimer: I am not bragging in any way. I just wanted to post swatches up so it would be easier for people to see what each colour would look like on a medium skin tone. I have been collecting these since last year and absolutely feel these are not a necessity, but would definitely make a great gift for yourself or to your loved ones. 

My YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Collection:

As the above disclaimer stated I have been collecting these since last year and most of them have been gifts from friends and family who asked me what I wanted for various occasions. I have 13 shades out of the 19 that are available in store at Myer and David Jones. I absolutely adore each and every one of them and wanted to share my thoughts about them with you.

Succumb to a unique sensorial experience with extreme comfort and luminous shine.  Hyaluronic acid microspheres help seal in moisture for 8 hours of hydration. Anti-oxidants and emollients help condition and soften lips.

I absolutely agree with the claims of extreme comfort and luminous shine but it does not last 8 hours on me. If I am not eating or drinking anything it would last about 4 hours and if I do eat or drink then less than 3 hours. I would not mind touching up in public because of the gorgeous packaging. The colour payoff depends on the colours, some darker colours have a pigmented pay off, and the others are sheer. They retail for $55 in Myer and David Jones. You can also buy them for a little cheaper from StrawberryNet or Amazon.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Swatches

Hey guys, 

I thought I would do a post entirely for my Rouge Volupte Shines showing you the three colours I have and how they look on my lips. I bought these off StrawberryNet for $39 each. In Australia they retail for $55 each. Anyways lets get straight into it. Below are the pictures of how they look.

Brun In secure 1 is a pretty reddish brown colour that looks beautiful on my skin tone.

Pourpre Intouchable 2 is a maroon red with plum undertones to it.

Rose Infinite 7 is my favorite nude pink.I have another blog post talking about Rose Infinite in detail here. 

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the way these lipsticks feel on the lips is amazing. All of these feel very comfortable on the lips and have a super shiny effect.  All the above swatches are one swipe each. I totally love the Rouge Volupte Shine range.

YSL Rouge Volupté Shine 7 Rose Infinite

Hey everyone,

Today's post is going to be about one of YSL's Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick in 7 Rose Infinite.

I bought this lipstick from strawberrynet.com and from the very first day have fallen in love with it.

It is the most wearable colour and a perfect everyday colour for me. Its not a true nude on my NC40 skin. Its a pinky nude which makes my lips look naturally pretty.

The packaging is most talked about as it feels luxurious!!! Yes indeed! The main reason I bought this was because of the packaging. I did not care how or what the colour would look like on me but when I first applied it, I knew that this lipstick would be my everyday go to shade from now on.

Other than the hefty price tag I have nothing negative to say about this product. It retails for $55 in Australia but you can find it online for $35-$40 from Amazon.com.

Strawberrynet.com only stocks a few colours and from time to time they get the more popular shades but they sell out pretty quickly too. I would suggest going in to any YSL counter and swatching them on before purchasing because they do look different in pictures online.

They staying power of this lipstick is not great but I don't mind it as it lasts me 2-3 hours without eating or drinking. It is extremely moisturizing on the lips thus we have to sacrifice the staying power. 

Overall it is an amazing lipstick, not a must have but it would look really pretty on that vanity of yours! ;-P
