My YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Collection

Disclaimer: I am not bragging in any way. I just wanted to post swatches up so it would be easier for people to see what each colour would look like on a medium skin tone. I have been collecting these since last year and absolutely feel these are not a necessity, but would definitely make a great gift for yourself or to your loved ones.

My YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Collection:

As the above disclaimer stated I have been collecting these since last year and most of them have been gifts from friends and family who asked me what I wanted for various occasions. I have 13 shades out of the 19 that are available in store at Myer and David Jones. I absolutely adore each and every one of them and wanted to share my thoughts about them with you.

What YSL says:
Introducing Rouge Volupté Shine.  Give in to the temptation of dazzling color. Succumb to a unique sensorial experience with extreme comfort and luminous shine.  Hyaluronic acid microspheres help seal in moisture for 8 hours of hydration. Anti-oxidants and emollients help condition and soften lips.

I absolutely agree with the claims of extreme comfort and luminous shine but it does not last 8 hours on me. If I am not eating or drinking anything it would last about 4 hours and if I do eat or drink then less than 3 hours. I would not mind touching up in public because of the gorgeous packaging. The colour payoff depends on the colours, some darker colours have a pigmented pay off, and the others are sheer. They retail for $55 in Myer and David Jones. You can also buy them for a little cheaper from StrawberryNet or Amazon.

Hope you found this post helpful. If you would like me to do a swatch post on my Rouge Volupte collection please do let me know in the comments below.

Too Faced Jingle All the Way Palette Swatches and Review

Hey guys,

I am so excited I got my hands on the New Limited Edition Too Faced Jingle All the Way palette which is out now at Kit Cosmetics for $38.95. I thought of doing a swatch and mini review on the palette while its still available.

The palette comes with 11 eyeshadows, 1 blush and 1 bronzer and is in the shape of an Iphone5. It comes with a case which you can use for your phone or just leave it on the palette.

The variety of the shadows is pretty impressive. There are a few nuetrals and some pops of colour too. Two basic matte shades are included to make a textured eye look. All shades are very pigmented and super soft. Some dark shades do have some fall out but I don't have a problem with that.

The blush and bronzer are satin finishes with a subtle sheen. Again very pigmented colours.

Below are the swatches of the first 9 shimmery/satin eyeshadows and then the 2 mattes and blush and bronzer below that.

I just did this quick eye look to show the colour payoff on the lids. I did not use any base for this look not even a primer.

Colour 1- inner lid
Colour 2- middle lid
Colour 3- outer corner lid
Colour 4- crease
Colour 5- brow bone
Lined upper and lower lash line with colour 3.

Please don't mind my eyebrows I am growing them to change the shape and thus they look weird.

Overall Verdict:

I love the idea of a mini travel friendly palette with wearable colours.

It is a little overpriced $38.95 but in Australia what makeup item is not overpriced.

The Iphone case is not very high quality but it looks pretty cool.

There is only one colour available in Kit as far as I know. I have seen a pink chevron print case on the sephora website, but not sure if we will be getting that in Australia.

It does not come with a mirror so that might be a disadvantage to many.

Eyeshadows are buttery and smooth with amazing colour payoff.

Eyeshadows lasted 6 hours with a primer.

Blush and Bronzer lasted 7 hours on my oily skin.

I have been loving this palette a lot and Too Faced is slowly becoming a favourite brand of mine. This is a cute palette to gift to a friend or to yourself this Christmas. ;)

PS: Chichi has a similar palette out at Target for $14.95 which includes two Iphone cases, one for Iphone 4 and one for Iphone 5. Check that out on my Instagram pictures if your interested. But I love this palette and would highly recommend atleast checking it out in store.

You can buy it online here.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!!

Cherry culture. Com haul ft NYX lip colours

Hey guys,
I ordered a few things off cherryculture a few weeks back and most of it was from NYX so I thought I shall do a small review cum swatch post on the lip colurs I bought. I have been hearing a lot of good things about these products so I had to buy them. I bought 2 of the xtreme lip creams, 3 soft matte lip creams and 1 matte lipstick.

Above are the 3 soft matte lip creams in Abu dhabi, Antwerp and Stockholm and the matte lipstick in whipped caviar

These are the 2 xtreme lip creams in butterly nude and skin tone. Below are the swatches.

I will start with the order the swatches are in. Butterly nude is a dirty rose nude colour that is very natural on the lips. The consistency of these xtreme lip creams is buttery and soft. I love that they are not sticky and not overly glossy. They don't last very long on the lips I get about 4 hours of wear with these. The second one is skintone which is a nude brown. It makes a perfect nude for my medium skin tone. It has a more warmer brown undertone to it than being a cool brown.
The next one is the soft matte lip cream in Abu Dhabi, I would say this is a matte version of skintone xtreme lip cream. It is a brown nude. These matte lip creams are a dream to apply and last about 4-5 hours on the lips too. I like how they don't dry my lips out like most matte lip colours do. Also the pigmentation is amazing. All the swatches are just one swipe which is great as a little goes a long way and you are not wasting a lot of product. Stockholm is a light coral pink which is a lighter version of xtreme lip cream in butterly nude. Antwerp is a bright bubblegum pink which looks great with a nice neutral eye look.
The lipstick in whipped caviar is a nice purple pink which leans more towards the cool end. It is a very gorgeous colour for Indian skin tones and really brightens up the face.
Nyx is not a very expensive brand (all of these are around $6 each) but it is unaccessable as it is not available in stores in Australia and we can't see the colours or feel the consistency physically. I bought these off cherryculture.com when there was a Nyx sale but I usually buy all my Nyx products from beautyjoint.com because I feel they have better shiping rates.
Anyways hope you guys enjoyed my review.
