Sigma Creme de Couture Eyeshadow palette

Hey guys,

After a lot of research on the colours and looking at different swatches and eye looks I finally bought the Sigma Creme de Couture eyeshadow palette. It is a gorgeous palette filled with 16 matte fun eyeshadow colours. It is a little difficult to get an all matte eyeshadow palette of such good quality and bright colours so I had to grab this. I bought mine from Rouche Boutique for $38 and unfortunately the Sigma website is all sold out because this was limited edition. You might still be able to find some at smaller makeup websites like Rouche Boutique.

This eyeshadow palette is macaroon inspired do the colours have really fun names too. Below are the swatches without a primer.

I am amazed by the quality of these eyeshadows. They are creamy and super soft. Blending is very easy using these. I would definitely recommend a primer or a cream eyeshadow as a base to make them really pop.
I recently put them to test without a primer and they lasted pretty well on my oily lids. With a primer I did the following look

I wouldn't wear this out in public but it was fun playing with the colours. I absolutely love this palette and would totally recommend it. If you want to use only one colour to make neutral eyes pop you can do that too. Matte shades are very versatile and that is why this palette is a must have for me.

Do you like playing with colour? Have you got any similar colourful palettes in your collection??

BOE Beauty- BigW affordable makeup. Is it worth it??

Hey guys,

How many of you have heard of this brand named Boe Beauty available at BigW here in Australia?? I know many of you have tried these products but I know a lot of people who still have not even heard of these.

Basically these are beauty products sold in BigW for $2 each (LOL Cosmetics in Kmart ring a bell??) These are just like that but way better quality I think. I picked up two of their matte lip creams and one eyeshadow palette to review here. They also have a wide variety of eyeshadow duos, eyeliner pencils, liquid eyeliners, mascara, jumbo lip pencils, glosses, lip lacquers, matte lip creams, nail polishes etc.

The two lip creams I have here are #32 Blush Pink Matt Lip Cream and #33 Shock Pink Matt Lip Cream.

Blush Pink

Shock Pink

Blush Pink

Blush Pink

Blush Pink is a nice nudey pink. It does not look great on my skin tone but girls with lighter skin can pull it off easily.

Shock Pink

Shock Pink
Shock Pink is a bright fuschia violet colour that will look great on light and dark skinned beauties.

As you can see in the above swatches I do find the product not living up to the name. It does not look matte in anyway. They do have a satin shine finish . The colour payoff is amazing, both lip creams shown above are one swipe of product only. They do have a perfumy smell but that does not transfer on the lips. They are not super long lasting but they do last about 5 hours which is really good for a $2 product.

Pros:
Only $2
Available in a few shades
Available at all BigW stores
Lasts pretty well
Does not dry out the lips
Very pigmented
Slim packaging easy to carry
Easy to apply, No lip brush needed

Cons:
Is not matte as the packaging claims
Has a perfumy smell
Bleeds if a lip liner is not used
Transfers if not blotted

I cannot think of any other con as I do find it pretty good value for the price.

The next thing I picked up is the Boe Beauty Glamour Eyes Palette. This retails for $5 and has 11 eyeshadows. Some are shimmery while others are satiny. The range includes neutrals to bright fun colours.

I started swatching from the big yellow eyeshadow on the top and went clockwise. The three small colours right below the big yellow are swatched horizontally. All swatches are done by an eyeshadow brush.

Although these shadows were quite powdery I did find them to be quite pigmented (better than the models prefer gift sets I bought recently). The above swatches are only one or two layers of product. I think for $5 that is quite impressive. On the eyes these last well too. I did use a primer and the shadows lasted me 5 hours, without primer I am looking at 3 hours due to extremely oily lids.

Pros:
Cheap and affordable only $5
Variety of colours
Pigmented
Not patchy
Last well for the price
Great gift

Cons:
Powdery
May not last long on the lids without a primer
Cheap packaging

Honestly, for the price I think they are worth it.

Have you tried Boe Beauty products? What do you think about them??

Too Faced Pretty Rebel eyeshadow palette haul

Hey guys,

I am sooooo excited to share with you my new love in eyeshadow palettes, the Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette. It is a gorgeous 10 shade palette with some jewel toned hues and every single one is a new colour by Too Faced. I don't even feel like swatching the colours they are so pretty!!! Also I am sorry for the crappy lighting because I just cannot wait till tomorrow to take pictures. Without further adieu I present to you, Too Faced Pretty Rebel

The front of the Box
The back of the box

The packaging is quite sleek and very trendy. It is a cardboard box like The Balm's Nude Tude palette with a gold flap lid, which has black and pink detailing. You get 15g of product for $59.95 from Kit Cosmetics. It was more expensive on beautybay.com, around $65 I think. It also comes with a full size mirror inside. The only con would be that no brush was included.

The palette back

I will give you an overview but for detailed information and possible dupes you can see Temptalia's review about the shades and the palette here.

So the palette comes with ten eyeshadows out of which two are matte. I will start the colour description  from the top left. Dainty, pinky beige and Charming, dark brown are the two matte colours. Girly is a duo chrome green brown, Totally fetch is a bright fuschia. Miss Sparkels is a black with silver shimmer and Ringleader is a warm peach. Gangsta is a coppery brown and Instigator is a gold. Badass is a dark blue with silver shimmer and Jailbird is a silver.

I am in love with totally fetch, badass and girly, cannot wait to do eyeshadow looks with this palette. The shadows are super buttery and pigmented. The shimmery ones do have some fallout but I have no problem with that. Another thing that is applaudable is that Too Faced included matte shades in the palette. I always like palettes that have some matte shades so that they can be used for traveling and you don't have to carry ten different eyeshadows or palettes separately.

Overall I am in love with this palette and I definitely recommend it, especially if you are into colours. Even if you prefer neutrals, this palette has a nice variety of that too and any kind of look can be achieved.

Pros:
Good variety of matte and shimmery shades
Great neutrals and bright colours
Soft and pigmented shades
Gorgeous sleek packaging
Long lasting and easy to blend

Cons:
Limited Edition product will not be available for long
Expensive and not very easily accessible for some countries
No brush

Honestly I have no issues with this product. I am in total love and just cannot wait to start using it.

What do you think about this palette????
Let me know in the comments below I would love to hear your thoughts.
