Too Faced Pretty Rebel eyeshadow palette haul

Hey guys,

I am sooooo excited to share with you my new love in eyeshadow palettes, the Too Faced Pretty Rebel palette. It is a gorgeous 10 shade palette with some jewel toned hues and every single one is a new colour by Too Faced. I don't even feel like swatching the colours they are so pretty!!! Also I am sorry for the crappy lighting because I just cannot wait till tomorrow to take pictures. Without further adieu I present to you, Too Faced Pretty Rebel

The front of the Box
The back of the box

The packaging is quite sleek and very trendy. It is a cardboard box like The Balm's Nude Tude palette with a gold flap lid, which has black and pink detailing. You get 15g of product for $59.95 from Kit Cosmetics. It was more expensive on beautybay.com, around $65 I think. It also comes with a full size mirror inside. The only con would be that no brush was included.

The palette back

I will give you an overview but for detailed information and possible dupes you can see Temptalia's review about the shades and the palette here

So the palette comes with ten eyeshadows out of which two are matte. I will start the colour description  from the top left. Dainty, pinky beige and Charming, dark brown are the two matte colours. Girly is a duo chrome green brown, Totally fetch is a bright fuschia. Miss Sparkels is a black with silver shimmer and Ringleader is a warm peach. Gangsta is a coppery brown and Instigator is a gold. Badass is a dark blue with silver shimmer and Jailbird is a silver.

I am in love with totally fetch, badass and girly, cannot wait to do eyeshadow looks with this palette. The shadows are super buttery and pigmented. The shimmery ones do have some fallout but I have no problem with that. Another thing that is applaudable is that Too Faced included matte shades in the palette. I always like palettes that have some matte shades so that they can be used for traveling and you don't have to carry ten different eyeshadows or palettes separately.

Overall I am in love with this palette and I definitely recommend it, especially if you are into colours. Even if you prefer neutrals, this palette has a nice variety of that too and any kind of look can be achieved.

Pros:
Good variety of matte and shimmery shades
Great neutrals and bright colours
Soft and pigmented shades
Gorgeous sleek packaging
Long lasting and easy to blend

Cons:
Limited Edition product will not be available for long
Expensive and not very easily accessible for some countries
No brush

Honestly I have no issues with this product. I am in total love and just cannot wait to start using it.

What do you think about this palette????
Let me know in the comments below I would love to hear your thoughts.

Models Prefer Blush in Desk to Date

A lot of you may be familiar with the Models Prefer brand in Australia. I had never tried their makeup before but there was a deal at Priceline where I had to buy two products to get a beauty blender type sponge free and I really wanted to try that sponge. So I bought an eyeshadow quad, reviewed here and this blush in Desk to Date.

At the first sight I thought it could be a dupe for Nars Orgasm but this one is more pinky and more pigmented than Orgasm.

Colour: medium pinky peach with a gold sheen.

Texture: creamy, but does have a lot of fallout.

Pigmentation: highly pigmented, a very light hand needed for application.

Price: I bought it for $9.99.

Availability: all Priceline stores that stock Models Prefer.

Longevity: lasts about 5-6 hours and then slightly fades but luckily does not fade unevenly.

Blend ability : easily blend able, does not stain the cheek.

My thoughts : beautiful blush for under $10. Totally worth the price. Looks better than Nars Orgasm on application, on medium skin tones.

Repurchase : although I will never run out of this but when I do, it is a total repurchase.

Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lipcolour in Rosewood

Hey everyone,

I know I know another lipstick post?!! Yesss!! Because I love lip colours and it is the easiest way to pull together any look. Anyways today I am reviewing Laura Mercier's lipstick in Rosewood. They retail for $34 in Australia and are available at any David jones or Myer store that has a Laura Mercier counter.

This particular shade Rosewood is a peachy nude everyday kind of colour. It is very creamy in application and lasts about 3-4 hours. It did not dry out my lips and also felt very moisturizing.

Overall I do love this shade as it is very flattering on all skin tones and also is a great everyday shade. The formula of the lipstick is fantastic too and I totally recommend it.

Weekend haul

Hey guys,

Sorry for being away for a long time now, was juggling work and home and hardly found time for myself. So I thought why not go shopping and treat myself. These items were bought with my own money and I absolutely love them!

I bought Mac's Blush in Blunt which is a dark brown contour colour. I had heard very good things about this and when I went into the Mac store in Australia a few months ago they didn't even know this shade existed. So when I saw it in store yesterday I caved in and bought it.

The next two things are from Inglot. The first one is a cream blush in 83 and the second one is a lip paint in 64.

I have been loving cream blushes for the winter and I hardly have any so I bought this. It is a pretty peachy pink and looks very natural when on.

The next thing is this lip paint in number 64. Now I must say, I hate lipglosses but these lip paints are the bomb! I bought this red coral shade which looks gorgeous on the lips and doesn't stick ( the best part ) I hate anything that makes my lips stick to each other. Also both these products were 50% off so that was a bargain too. ( Inglot always has some products at 50% off when they have too much stock of that item)
Hope you guys enjoyed my little haul.

Do let me know if you have tried any of these products and if you like them or not.

Love!

Estée Lauder Pure Color Blushing 55

Hello readers,

I know you guys will be like "enough with the lipsticks already!!" Or " review something else" but I promise this is my last post on a lipstick for a while.

Estée Lauder long lasting lipstick in Blushing is a beautiful peachy pink color which will flatter any skin tone.

It is a silky creme formula which definitely lasts a long time on the lips. I had this on my lips for a good 6 hours with no eating or drinking. Otherwise it has lasted me 3 hours.

I am not a huge fan of its packaging, it looks elegant from the outside but it feels cheap. These retail for $45 in Australia which is a bomb for a lipstick. That is why I was disappointed with the packaging because that is what you are paying that little extra for.

Anyways back to the shade, Blushing is a peachy pink color on my skin. It looks beautiful with a black smokey eye.

It does look darker in the tube but it is a very build able color. Above is just 2 swipes of the lipstick.

I bought this shade because I had nothing like it in my collection but I am sure there would be some cheaper alternatives available from the drugstore,

I will not be purchasing any more of the Estée Lauder lipsticks as they don't give me that luxury like feeling for the price tag. But as a color I would definitely recommend this shade of peachy pink for NC40-42 skintone.

Do you own any Estée Lauder lipsticks? How do you feel about them? Let me know in the comments below.

Love,
DG
