Autumn Cranberry Eye Makeup

Hey guys,

When I saw the ChiChi Rich Gems palette there were only two colours in there that were screaming my name and I had to have that palette. Luckily for me, my blogger friend Tried and Tested sent me one in the Halloween swap that we did last year. Although we are not into Autumn yet it sure does feel like it here in Melbourne. Since Autumn/Winter is fast approaching for us Aussies, I thought of doing this cranberry eye makeup that will surely catch everyones attention.

The products I used were:

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Chichi Rich Gems palette
Gorgeous cosmetics eyeshadow in Matte Tan
Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara
Daiso Gel liner in Black

First of all I primed my lids using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.
Then I used the cranberry shadow marked 1 in the palette all over my lid, keeping it below the crease.
Eyeshadow 2 went in the outer corner and blended it through the crease.
The bright purple eyeshadow marked 3 was used just on the outer corner to intensify and create depth.
The eyeshadow in Matte Tan by Gorgeous cosmetics was used to blend just above the crease for a soft finish.
I then used the gold shade from the Rich Gems palette in the inner corner of my eye to brighten it up a little.
For the lower lashline I smudged some of that cranberry shadow to balance out the look.
Finished it off with some black liner and mascara.

Hope you enjoyed this look and if you do try it out using similar colours, post a picture on Instagram or Twitter and tag me @dazzlegloss3.

Purple smokey eye

Hey guys,

I am back again with a dramatic smokey eye look perfect for the weekend. I did this look for a party I attended on saturday night and thought I could take some pictures and show you how I did it.
I used 3 eyeshadows for this look and they are
Inglot 73
MAC Sketch
MAC Texture
I also used a tiny bit of a shimmery pink highlight shade for the brow bone and inner tear duct.

I applied Inglot 73 to 2/3rds of my lid from the inner corner and also stayed below the crease.

MAC Sketch went to the outer 1/3rd of the lid and also used it to blend the two colours in the crease.

Above the crease I used MAC Texture to create a soft transition.

Applied the Inglot shade and Sketch to the lower lashline to connect with the upper eye and give a smokey effect.

I applied the highlight shade to the brow bone, only on the highest point of the brow and blended it either way.

Using the same shade I applied a tiny bit to the inner corner of the eye to brighten it up.

Lined my lash line with Maybelline Stilleto eyeliner and applied False Eyelashes from Eyelene in Darling Defining which I bought from BigW.

Then used Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara to blend my real lashes with the false ones.

I think purples look great on brown eyes and I always tend to prefer purple over black smokey eyes. I hope you enjoyed this look and do let me know if you ever try it out. I would love to see how it turned out for you.

Furless Makeup Brushes Haul and Review

Hey guys,

I have been on a look out for good quality cruelty free makeup brushes for a while now. I personally feel investing in makeup brushes is better than buying tons of makeup which does come with an expiry date. I was initially looking at the Sigma website for brushes but they were too expensive with the postage included.

I then came across Furless via some youtube guru's and was really excited because they had good quality brushes with a flat rate shipping of $5. International shipping is a flat rate of $12.50 for orders under 500 gms. I took the opportunity to buy a few eye brushes and one face brush. They also stock makeup but I have not tried it out yet.

Overall I am totally satisfied with my purchase although I was a little skeptical when my package arrived, looking at some of the brushes ( I will explain in detail when I review each brush individually)  but in the end when I used them I was totally convinced. Furless Cosmetics is cruelty free and vegan.
They have different themed brushes but their standard brushes are with the blue handle and golden ferule. They do have some weight and are not cheap looking in any way.

You can buy these awesome brushes here

Now onto the brushes review.

This brush is the Bronze Blending Brush BC11 $9.95
I use this brush to blend out concealer under my eyes and around my nose. Does a great job and does not leave any streaky lines.

This is the Must Have Pro Buffer Brush PRO4F $14.95
I love this brush to apply mousse foundations and also to buff on powder foundation. Does a great job with my Studio Fix Powder Foundation, really buffs in the product. Another thing this brush does is when you want a really intense contour, lightly pack on some bronzer to the very edge of the brush and use it to contour the cheek. Provides a sharp line which you can buff out using the brush flat.

This is the Must Have Pro Eyeshadow Brush PRO8E $11.95
I was disappointed when I saw this brush cause it is huge and I have small eyelid space so I thought I wouldn't be able to use it for detail work and I really wished it was smaller. But I made it work and whenever I am in a rush I use this with one colour all over my eyelids and I am ready. It is a very easy look brush for me.

This brush is the Must Have Pro Blending Brush PRO2E $11.95
This is another brush I was disappointed with but I was wrong. This blends eyeshadows into each other like a pro. Perfect to apply the brow bone colour and inner tear duct eyeshadow. I wouldn't say its a must have but I am happy I made it work.

This is the Must Have Pro Domed Blending Brush PRO7E $11.95
Again huge brush but blends like a dream. Two swipes and your done. I love using it with a very light hand as I have a thin crease to blend any eyeshadow.

This is the Perfectly Pink Stubby Eye brush PPE2 $9
My favorite brush out of the lot. It is a tiny eyeshadow brush perfect for doing detailed work. Also great to smudge eyeshadow on the lower lash line. I used to think my ELF eyeshadow brush is the smallest but this is even smaller. I love this brush and it is totally a must have.

For all you make up brush hoarders out there these are great quality brushes and with the flat rate shipping I think you should try them out. The brushes are priced moderately too. You can buy them here.

Have you tried the Furless Makeup Brushes????

Ditch the Black, get some colour on your eye.

Hey guys,

How many of you have actually tried to ditch the black eye liner and go colorful for a day? If you have, way to go babe!!! Today's look is all about getting out of your comfort zone and adding some color to your eye make up. I know it is very intimidating to go out during the day with colorful eyeshadow on your eye, but you can start getting comfortable by going step by step.

The products I used will be listed below the post. I would definitely rock this look to work. But if it is a lot for you, just be a little gentle on the flick. You can also line only your upper lash line for a less dramatic look. On medium skin tones and brown eyes, dark blue, green and purple eyeliners look beautiful. I am scared of color too but I am branching out and trying to incorporate color in my everyday looks. This is a simple way to add color without going overboard.

I have used Mac Flip eyeshadow all over my eyelid up to the brow bone. Then I added Mac Texture to the outer V and crease of my eye. These two eyeshadows are my go to eyeshadows everyday, it gives a soft natural look. Instead of using a black eyeliner, I used Inglot gel eye liner in 75 which is a dark indigo purple and topped it with Inglot pigment in 38 which is a translucent white with blue reflects. If you have a blue pencil or gel eyeliner you can use that. I didn't have any thus had to make my own. I also added that same pigment to the inner tear duct for some brightness to my eyes. Curled my lashes and applied one coat of Rimmel Sexy Curves Mascara.

Taddaaaa!! That's the finished look.
