Cherry culture. Com haul ft NYX lip colours

Hey guys,
I ordered a few things off cherryculture a few weeks back and most of it was from NYX so I thought I shall do a small review cum swatch post on the lip colurs I bought. I have been hearing a lot of good things about these products so I had to buy them. I bought 2 of the xtreme lip creams, 3 soft matte lip creams and 1 matte lipstick.

Above are the 3 soft matte lip creams in Abu dhabi, Antwerp and Stockholm and the matte lipstick in whipped caviar

These are the 2 xtreme lip creams in butterly nude and skin tone. Below are the swatches.

I will start with the order the swatches are in. Butterly nude is a dirty rose nude colour that is very natural on the lips. The consistency of these xtreme lip creams is buttery and soft. I love that they are not sticky and not overly glossy. They don't last very long on the lips I get about 4 hours of wear with these. The second one is skintone which is a nude brown. It makes a perfect nude for my medium skin tone. It has a more warmer brown undertone to it than being a cool brown.
The next one is the soft matte lip cream in Abu Dhabi, I would say this is a matte version of skintone xtreme lip cream. It is a brown nude. These matte lip creams are a dream to apply and last about 4-5 hours on the lips too. I like how they don't dry my lips out like most matte lip colours do. Also the pigmentation is amazing. All the swatches are just one swipe which is great as a little goes a long way and you are not wasting a lot of product. Stockholm is a light coral pink which is a lighter version of xtreme lip cream in butterly nude. Antwerp is a bright bubblegum pink which looks great with a nice neutral eye look.
The lipstick in whipped caviar is a nice purple pink which leans more towards the cool end. It is a very gorgeous colour for Indian skin tones and really brightens up the face.
Nyx is not a very expensive brand (all of these are around $6 each) but it is unaccessable as it is not available in stores in Australia and we can't see the colours or feel the consistency physically. I bought these off cherryculture.com when there was a Nyx sale but I usually buy all my Nyx products from beautyjoint.com because I feel they have better shiping rates.
Anyways hope you guys enjoyed my review.

MAC sheertone blush in Pinch Me review and swatch

Hey Guys,
Today I am going to review Mac's blush in Pinch me. This is a sheertone blush which has a matte finish. It is described as a medium dirty rose coral by MAC and it is exactly that. It is a very pretty colour on Indian skin tones as it leans towards the warmer side. I do find it to be not very pigmented and you do have to layer it to get a good colour pay off, but it is a good blush for beginners as you don't have to worry about overdoing your blush. On the skin it appears as a rosy natural colour and since it is matte, it makes it wearable for any occasion.

You get 6g of product for $41 in Australia and this will last you a very long time also the fact that it is a permanent item you can get it any time of the year. You can buy it here. I also like the fact that it is not powdery and doesn't get all over the place while you swirl your brush in there. As you can see the swatches below it is a very natural rosy shade which looks gorgeous on medium skin tones. Since it is a build able colour it can suit light to medium skin tones, even some darker skin tones too. It lasts almost 6-7 hours on me and does not fade unevenly.

Overall I love this blush for everyday use and I do recommend it for those who are looking for a very wearable blush.

Essence 50s girls Reloaded Haul and swatches

Hey Guys,

Sorry for being MIA, I have been very sick lately but all is good now and I am back on track with a small haul cum first impressions cum swatch post. I recently spotted the Essence stand at Target with the 50s girls Reloaded special edition items and this is a re-promote trend edition, as it had earlier come out last year as well. I stocked up on a couple lipsticks and some eye stuff so lets just get right into it.

So I bought the lipsticks in 01 Back to the 50's which is a red and 02 I'm Sailing which is a peach. The eyeshadow duo is in 01 I'm a Marine girl and the brush is a dual ended eyeshadow brush.

Below are the swatches of the eyeshadows and the lipsticks.

The lipsticks are very creamy, super pigmented and glide on easily. I love the packaging because they look exactly like Mac lipsticks. The peach is a very light colour for me to pull off but I will be trying to pair it with maybe a darker gloss or just mix both the colours and create a wearable shade. The red is just a classic red with more orange undertones. The eyeshadow brush is just average, good enough just to apply eyeshadow. Nothing major about the brush. The eyeshadow duo is a pretty champagne colour and a pretty blueish purple. More blue in the pan and more purple on application. The eyeshadows are powdery and do take a few swipes to create intensity.
Overall I love the lipsticks, not so much the eyeshadow brush and the eyeshadows but I could still make it work.

Hope you guys enjoyed my haul cum review.

Love,
Reshma

Makeup Giveaway time!!!!

Hey guys,

I know you guys must be thinking with hardly 20 posts down I am crazy to do a giveaway but these 20 posts have given me my first 500 views and it is a reason for me to celebrate. I want my posts to reach out and help everyone. This is going to be a very easy giveaway. The rules and prizes everything will be mentioned below. So what are you waiting for, scroll down to see what you can win!!!

I was in a very pinky mood and that's why all the items I picked out have a little bit of pink in them.

1) Face of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons- I have seen a lot of beauty gurus from Australia rave about these. These are basically a sheer lipstick in a crayon form. Easy to use and mess free. I do own a single crayon in the colour macaroon which is the red one and I love the sheer wash of colour it gives my lips. The one I am giving away is a pack of three which includes a red, pink and nude shade

2) Makeup Academy single eyeshadow in shade 16 Matt- this is a matte light pink eyeshadow which is great to highlight the brow bone when you don't want too much shimmer or just a sheer wash of colour on your lids. I love the pigmentation of these shadows and most importantly it is Matte!!!

3) Makeup Academy lipstick in shade 4 - this bubble gum pink lipstick is a great shade for all skin tones. I love the creaminess and pigmentation of the MUA lipsticks. They are amazing.

4) Sportsgirl The Dreamers Neutral Cosmetic Palette - I bought this palette during Christmas I think and I never used it because the colours in this palette are too light for me. I bought this palette because I thought it looked beautiful ( just look at that gorgeous packaging) but unfortunately my skin tone is not light enough to rock these eye shadows. It comes with 3 shimmery and 1 matte eyeshadow, also includes 1 pink lip gloss. It comes with a dual sided lip brush and eyeshadow sponge too.

A little disclaimer before I get into the rules for this giveaway - All the items were purchased by me and no one is paying me to do this giveaway. All the products sent out are sealed so you can be sure I have not tested them.

Rules for the giveaway:

1) You must be a follower of this blog either on Bloglovin or on Google friend connect (even better, follow me on both!!). Anonymous comments will not be counted ( I will cross check). The widget is on the top right of this page. Its just a click away!!

2) Comment below why you would like to win this giveaway and which product are you most excited to try out.

3) Open for all age groups. If you are below 18 and you win, I will need a written permission from your parents stating that they approve of giving me your personal details so I can ship out the prize.

4) This giveaway is International. ( unless your country considers cosmetics hazardous and they reject it)

5) Once the giveaway ends the winner must get back to me by email within 3 days of announcement of results or else another winner will be chosen.

6) Only comments on this post will count as an entry.

This giveaway will run for one week from today. I will select the winner randomly on random.org and announce the winner in a new blog post.

All the best guys and have a safe weekend!!

Reshma.

Sportsgirl Paint The Town Lip Paint in 'Imagine That'

Hey guys,

I bought this product to test and compare it to the Inglot lip paints that I love( blogpost coming soon on that one) and I must say I am quite disappointed.

So Sportsgirl has some amazing make up goodies and I totally love their lipsticks and  lip glosses so I picked up this lip paint in 'Imagine That' thinking I have found a dupe for some expensive lip paints.

It retails for $7.95 which is a bargain compared to Inglot which is $23. The colour I bought looks like a rosy pink but on the lips it came out lighter than what it looks like in the tube.

What I think of this product- I hate it!!! It is so difficult to work with. I did one thin layer and it made the cracks of my lips visible. I put on another thin layer and it made it worse. Worst of all it is soooo sticky!!! I couldn't capture it but if i closed my lips and opened them there would be peaks on the inner part of my lips which indicates stickyness. I am not sure if I like the formula because Inglot lip paints look flawless on the lips and this one just made my lips look bad. Also the colour in the tube and the colour on my lips look so different. I applied it using a lip brush and also tried straight from the tube but no luck because it is so heavy and sticky on the lips I just can't like it.

So there goes my $7.95 in the bin unless someone can tell me how to deal with it and make it work.

Have you tried the Sportsgirl lip paints? What do you think of them???

Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lipcolour in Rosewood

Hey everyone,

I know I know another lipstick post?!! Yesss!! Because I love lip colours and it is the easiest way to pull together any look. Anyways today I am reviewing Laura Mercier's lipstick in Rosewood. They retail for $34 in Australia and are available at any David jones or Myer store that has a Laura Mercier counter.

This particular shade Rosewood is a peachy nude everyday kind of colour. It is very creamy in application and lasts about 3-4 hours. It did not dry out my lips and also felt very moisturizing.

Overall I do love this shade as it is very flattering on all skin tones and also is a great everyday shade. The formula of the lipstick is fantastic too and I totally recommend it.

Inglot Lip Paint and Gloss duo in 17

So you guys already know I love my lip products so I thought I shall add one more to my most loved list. The Inglot lip paints are one of the most amazing things I have ever come across. It feels like a lipstick but shows up like a pigmented gloss. Its just phenomenal how good it makes you look.

The duo I have is in the number 17 which has one lip paint and one gloss. I have not tried the gloss yet but I did wear the lip paint to an event once and everyone complimented my lips.

I love the formulation of this lip paint as it makes your lips look super glossy but is never sticky.

(White light)

(Yellow light)

Pigmentation wise also this lip paint is amazing. The colour in the tub is whats on the lips. If you are like me who hates lip glosses simply because they are sticky then these are for you. I wore this for about 3 hours without eating or drinking and it stayed put. I had a drink after that and the shine did come off a little but there was a lipstick like stain left which came off after dinner. So this is not a long wearing lip product but that is with any lipstick or gloss anyways ( unless they are those extremely drying lip products).

After the stain came off I did not feel any dryness or flakyness on my lips. They were just normal so I guess its the moisture from this product that stays. I bought this from Inglot for $12.50 as it was on a 50% off sale but usually it retails for $25.

Pros :
Glossy but not sticky
Amazing pigmentation
Does not bleed without a lip pencil
Packaging is sturdy will not open in the makeup bag
Does not show fine lines of the lips

Cons:
Pricey
Need to carry a lip brush and mirror to reapply
Can melt in the heat and get all messy
Packaging can break if fallen down with force
Low staying power

Overall I personally love this product. I would recommend going in store and checking them out. Im sure if you try one you will go back for more.

Ps: any product with a red dot sticker on it is usually 50% off in the store.

If you have tried the lip paints let me know what you think of it
